DKP Guide

Dragon Kill Points and how they are earned.
Your dkp Account is a shared account with all Alternate Characters on your account. Points earned and spent by all of your toons share the same account.

Raid attendance
Points are awarded at the rate of 10 points per hour of scheduled raid with a 20 point bonus for signing up and being on time for raids.

Example if you signed up for raid:

  • A 2 hour raid is worth 20 points.
  • A 2.5 hour raid is worth 25 points.
  • A 3 hour raid is worth 30 points.
  • A Sign up bonus of 20 points is applied.

Example if you did not sign up for the raid but chose to fill a needed spot:

  • A 2 hour raid is worth 20 points.
  • A 2.5 hour raid is worth 25 points.
  • A 3 hour raid is worth 30 points.

It is the responsibility of the raider to make certain that their DKP status is correctly added. The officer in charge will do their very best to correctly apply DKP, however, for those who do not sign up for raids make certain that you are awarded the points if you did attend, if you are not awarded them please send a web mail to an officer to get it corrected.

How to spend your DKP.

When Loot drops during Guild events there will be silent bids sent to the highest officer of Genesis in attendance. If that officer chooses to bid, then the bids will be sent to the next officer in line. Bids that are sent are only sent ONE time. These bids are to be the value at which you place on a specific item. After all bidding is closed, the highest bidder will be awarded the Loot at the cost of the second highest bid + 5 dkp.

The minimum bid is 40 dkp.

Example:

Fabled Heavy Armor Breast Plate drops

All bids to Officer please.
Raider #1 bids: 300
Raider #2 bids: 275
Raider #3 bids: 350
Raider #4 bids: 375
Raider #5 bids: 300

The Highest bidder here is Raider #4 at 375.

Officer: Congratulations to Raider #4 for 355 dkp.

If there is only one bidder on any item, the item will be awarded for the absolute minimum DKP allowed, which is 40 dkp for Fabled and 15 dkp for Legendary. If the item has class restrictions for 2 or less classes then the minimum amount for Fabled will be 80 dkp.
In the case of a bid tie the item will be rolled upon by each of the tied players using  /random 100. Unless they defer the item to the opposing bidder, then the item will be awarded for the tied amount plus 5 dkp.

While the officers will always do their best to make sure that players only bid with points they currently have, it is the sole responsibility of the players to keep track of the amount of points which they are allowed to bid. If a case occurs in which a player bids more points than they currently have, that player will lose all positive points and will be negative the total amount of their bid. For example, if a player only has 100 points and he bids 200, his point total after this error will be -200.
